How Compost is Made
Compost is made with material such as leaves, shredded twigs, sod, and kitchen scraps. These items decompose and end up creating valuable fertilizer (soil conditioner), providing nutrients to soil. This will help enrich your soil and plants.
Adding Compost to Soil
In order to have a healthy lawn and flourishing garden, it’s important to have nutrients in your soil. We add local, organic compost material to our soil blends to help your lawn and garden grow.
Soil Material
Soil- 70/30 Soil Mix
This material consists of screened topsoil, and compost. The material is tested regularly at meets MNDOT requirements.
Great for starting new yards with seed or for under sod. Also works great for patch work in existing grass.
Soil- Garden Blend 40/40/20
Garden Blend is a 40% black topsoil 40% compost 20% peat. This is great for raised garden beds and adding soil to existing garden.
