Retaining Wall, Fresh Sod and Rock Beds in Elko New Market

This front yard had a lot going on - uneven ground, bare soil, and a space that just didn't feel pulled together. The homeowners wanted something that actually looked finished and worked better from a drainage standpoint too. That's exactly the kind of job we enjoy digging into.

We built out a curved retaining wall to anchor the planting bed near the front of the house, then filled that bed with clean decorative rock. That combination does two things at once - it gives the space a defined, polished look, and it keeps everything in place when it rains. No more soil washing out onto the driveway or sidewalk.

From there, we prepped the ground and laid fresh sod across the entire front yard. Getting the base right before the sod goes down is what separates a lawn that takes hold from one that struggles. We take that prep work seriously every time.
